Our Story
Baking has always been a part of my life. Growing up, I watched my mother create delicious treats for family birthdays and events, filling our home with warmth and the sweet aroma of fresh bakes. Alongside my love for baking, I’ve always had a passion for art.
In 2017, while searching for recipes online, I stumbled upon a course on decorated sugar cookies in another state. The intricate designs immediately captured my heart, and I couldn’t resist the curiosity to learn more. I booked a flight, took the course, and fell in love with the art of cookie decorating.
When I returned home, I started making cookies as a hobby, gifting them to family and friends. Before I knew it, word spread, and people began asking to buy my creations. At first, I was hesitant, but the overwhelming support inspired me to take the leap. My small hobby quickly blossomed into a business, and I launched Ateliê do Biscoito.
A few years later, my desire to innovate led me to experiment with new recipes, and that’s when I perfected my stuffed cookies. The combination of beautifully decorated sugar cookies and indulgent stuffed cookies became an instant hit.
In 2024, I moved to Vancouver to start a new chapter and reinvent myself. After a few months, I found myself missing the joy of baking and creating. That’s when VanCookies was born—a continuation of my journey, bringing edible, artistic, and delicious creations to a new community.
